Troy Farkas
At 15 years old, Troy Farkas took his first yoga class to impress his high school’s varsity basketball coach. For the next 10 years, he maintained a regular practice, but strictly to complement his intense exercise routine of weight lifting, HIIT, running, hiking, kickboxing, and cycling.
But while living in London, he discovered a studio that introduced the spiritual side of yoga to him. Then, when he randomly moved to the Seacoast in 2023, he found a studio that not only made him feel at home in this area, but that also opened his eyes to the magic of yoga beyond the asana.
His teaching style embraces the extraordinary capabilities of our bodies, but stops at pushing past the body’s limitations. As a newly-diagnosed Type 1 diabetic, he believes in listening to the body and respecting its wishes.
Formerly of ESPN, Troy is also a podcast producer at Spotify. Additionally, he hosts a popular local podcast called “Seacoast Stories,” a show about the people and businesses that make New Hampshire and Maine an American hidden gem.
When he’s not practicing yoga or podcasting, you can find Troy bouncing around Seacoast coffee shops, going on walks with friends, or reading biographies of famous world leaders.
